Self proclaimed Paul Krugman stalker Donald "We Stalked" Luskin
has threatend a libel lawsuit against the blessed Atrios.
The beef? Atrios recently linked to Luskin's work, writing "Diary of a Stalker".
This is after Luskin himself wrote an article about Krugman titled "We stalked. He balked".
People commented on the Atrios blog as people do and so Atrios gets a letter from Luskin's lawyer:
"As a result of your control over and participation in the comment section of your site,
as well as the fact that Mr. Luskin has personally brought these libelous comments to
your attention already, you face personal liability for their distribution."
Jeffrey J. Upton and Donald Luskin are both thin skinned whiners too pathetic for cheese.
While Atrios hasn't yet been "sued", he has been informed that blogger will be subpoenad in order to
unearth [his] identity and that "further legal action will be taken" if [he] fails to comply with the demands.
This seems un-American to me.

Now I actually get a sort of sick kick out of reading Luskin's weblog every time a new Krugman column comes out. His Krugman obsession makes for fascinating reading. When Atrios referred to Luskin as "Gollum Luskin" a week or two back I thought the epithet couldn't be more apt.
I don't know if anyone would seriously call Luskin a stalker (though Krugman has joked that Luskin is his "Stalker In Chief"), but the entry that Atrios was linking to with his "Diary of a Stalker" post does make you wonder a bit about Luskin's mental state.
